Why Choose Enclosed Transport?
Unlike open trailers, enclosed carriers are fully covered on all sides, protecting your vehicle from dust, debris, rain and sun. The climate‑controlled environment and lower vehicle capacity (usually two to four cars) mean less exposure to road hazards and greater privacy during transit.
Our enclosed services are ideal for sports cars, antiques, restored classics and any vehicle you’d rather not risk to the elements. We treat every vehicle with care, loading and unloading using lift gates to prevent scraping and damage.
Advantages of Enclosed Shipping
Maximum Protection
Enclosed trailers shield your vehicle from all weather, road salt, debris and prying eyes. This peace of mind is invaluable for collectible or irreplaceable cars.
Smooth Loading & Unloading
Hydraulic lift gates allow your vehicle to roll on and off the trailer level, eliminating ramps and reducing the chance of undercarriage damage.
Higher Liability Coverage
Enclosed shipments typically come with increased insurance coverage—up to $500,000 in some cases—because of the valuable vehicles they carry.
Open or Enclosed?
The main difference between open and enclosed carriers is exposure. Open carriers are more affordable and widely available but expose vehicles to weather and road debris. Enclosed carriers are pricier because they carry fewer cars and offer complete protection. Consider your vehicle’s value, sentimental importance and your budget when deciding which option suits you best.
Cost of Enclosed Shipping
Pricing for enclosed transport varies based on distance, route demand, vehicle size, modifications, time of year and the level of insurance required. Because enclosed trailers carry fewer vehicles, expect a premium of 30–50 percent over open transport.
We believe in transparency. Your quote will outline all cost components so you can make an informed decision.
Door‑to‑Door Delivery
Our enclosed carriers provide door‑to‑door service whenever possible. A professional driver will coordinate with you to collect your vehicle from your home or a nearby street and deliver it directly to your destination. If tight streets or low trees make pickup difficult, we’ll meet you at the closest safe location.
Extra Items & Preparation
You may leave up to 100 lbs (45 kg) of personal belongings in your trunk or back seat as long as they are securely packed and below window level. Please let us know in advance so we can plan for the additional weight. Remember to remove fragile items, flammables and electronics.
Before pickup, clean your vehicle, document its condition and remove toll tags. Disable alarms and provide a spare key to our driver.
